DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare financial statement packages: Including, but not limited to, creating and posting journal entries, general ledger review, and the completion of balance sheet support schedules
• Ensure financial statement packages are delivered to the client in a timely manner in accordance with client deadlines
• Investigate and reconcile financial discrepancies
• Review variance comments and other reporting verbiage added by Property Management
• Review and process weekly vendor invoices related to the properties
• Ensure tenant deposits are recorded and applied accurately and in a timely manner
• Monitor and maintain cash balances, along with completing bank reconciliations for all bank accounts relating to the properties
• Adhere to internal and external accounting policies and procedures
• Handle client requests as needed and maintain communication with client upon completion
• Assist with the completion of annual budgets
• Assist with the completion of annual OPE Reconciliations
• Occasionally required to read and interpret legal documents, contracts, and other various agreements for the purpose of accurately applying the information to financial reports
• Ensure all debt, real estate tax, and owner distribution payments are made in a timely manner and internal schedules are maintained
• Prepare monthly funding requests to ensure adequate cash flow
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum 4 years of related experience (preferably real estate accounting)
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Real Estate Accounting Software (preferably Yardi)
• Displays a high level of professionalism and customer service
• Ability to effectively communicate verbally or written information internally and externally
• Demonstrates excellent time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to convey complex financial issues to non-financial users
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
• None
Responsible for assisting with operation troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial office buildings in Dallas, Texas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assist with the maintenance, operation and repair of HVAC systems and associated equipment, plumbing systems, building interior/exterior repair and related grounds as it pertains to assigned buildings
• Inspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions, preventative maintenance, etc.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems
• Execute a preventive maintenance program to ensure that building machinery and systems meet or exceed their rated life
• Troubleshoot, evaluate, and make recommendations to upgrade maintenance operations and/or implement savings opportunities
• Possess competent knowledge of the use and care of tools and equipment used in facility maintenance
• Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency, and Company directives as related to building operations and practice safe work habits
• Ability to use technology such as tablets, computers, web-based applications, building automation systems, etc.
• Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned
